For the Maple Leafs and many other elite athletes, lockdown doesn’t mean locked out


As the Leafs continue to prepare for what they hope will be a January start to the NHL season, they are far from the only athletes continuing to train through Lockdown 2.0. Other Toronto-based NHLers and high-performance figure skaters are also allowed on some rinks. Canada’s Olympians and Paralympians remain eligible to train with swimmers at the national aquatic centre in Scarborough, while cyclists have access to the velodrome in Milton.
