Fans of the Maple Leafs in general, and Auston Matthews in particular, have scoffed at notions that Patrik Laine may turn out to be the best guy to come out of the 2016 draft. And it’s hard to argue that at the moment with the Jets winger leading the NHL with 11 goals and all rookies with 16 points.
